The main issue with standardized testing is that many school hours are used to teach to the test instead of being used for true academics and arts programs. In fact, as the number of tests have been increased the overall academic standards and the US’s global standings have dropped.

Standardized tests are not necessary and the costs associated with these tests are high and a waste of finances and resources for the schools.

These tests rarely show what a teacher hasn’t already learned about her student. The schools are usually using these test as a way to grade the teacher. And has brought on the era of the teachers teaching only to the tests.

Should schools ban these standardized tests and bring back teacher led classrooms?
